I’m Looking for a Church—Am I Welcome?
People who join us at New Song come from all sorts of cultural, social, political and religious backgrounds. Some have been Christians all their lives; some are simply curious about who Jesus is or what difference he might make to their lives. We welcome all: the committed and the skeptics, the faithful and the faithless. Wherever you’re at, if you’d like to join us in considering Jesus, it would be our privilege to welcome you.
What Do You Believe?
Simply put: we believe the Gospel—the Good News that God loves the world and saves us through his crucified and risen Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. You can learn more about what we believe here.
What’s Worship Like?
We gather every Sunday at 10 am in the upstairs sanctuary. Worship lasts about 90 minutes and follows a participatory rhythm shaped by Scripture and the Book of Common Prayer.
Every Sunday, we:
- Sing God’s praise — with a mix of classic and contemporary music
- Proclaim God’s Word — through Bible readings and preaching
- Partake in the Lord’s Supper — a sign and seal of God’s grace to us in Jesus Christ
After the service, stay for coffee, tea, and snacks—and on the first Sundays of the month (during the school year) we share a church family potluck.

What About Kids?
Yes! New Song Kids runs during the school year in the Lower Hall, with Gospel-centred, age-appropriate lessons, games, and crafts led by trained, Plan to Protect certified leaders.
Kids start the service in the sanctuary, head out with their leaders for their own lesson, and return for the Lord’s Supper—because they’re part of the church family too. Learn more about New Song Kids here.
- A nursery with a live service feed is always open for parents.
- Activity trays are available for kids in the sanctuary.
- Children of all ages are welcome in the service—we’re glad to hear their joyful noise!
Is Your Building Accessible?
Chairlifts are available at our north entry (the nearest door to McDonald’s). For questions related to mobility needs, please contact our church office.
Please note: the chair lift to the Lower Hall is out of service until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience and we are working on a long-term solution for mobility access to our whole facility.
What Should I Wear?
Sundays are like a family gathering—you’ll see everything from shorts and sandals to suits and ties. We’re just glad you’re here.
What Happens During the Week?

Who Are You Affiliated With?
New Song Church is a congregation of the Anglican Diocese in Canada (ADOC; previously called the Anglican Network in Canada): a family of churches which spans the country from Bonavista to Vancouver Island and, like the majority of Anglicans worldwide, remains faithful to biblical doctrine and established Anglican polity and practice. ADOC is itself a diocese of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) and a member of the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON).
What is an Anglican?
An Anglican is a Christian who follows Jesus within a global family of churches whose doctrine and practice is shaped by the sixteenth century English Reformation, combining a strong focus on the Bible and the good news of God’s grace with ancient patterns of worship and spiritual formation. New Song’s Values
Beauty
We believe God is the Great Creator and who delights in beauty and uses it to draw people to himself. Whether through music, liturgy, visual arts, relationships, or the created world, beauty awakens gratitude and points us to the goodness of God. We seek to cultivate spaces and moments that promote beauty in our midst.
Belonging
The church is meant to be a community and family where no one stands alone. We welcome people with warmth, honesty, and friendship, believing that every person is made in God’s image and worthy of love. Belonging means walking together in faith, doubt, and everyday life.
Fidelity
We aim to remain faithful to Scripture, trusting it as God’s own Word to us and the trustworthy guide for life, hope, and discipleship. Fidelity means listening to God’s voice, following Jesus with integrity, and letting the Scriptures shape who we are and how we live. This keeps our church grounded and centered on what matters most.
Generosity
God has been incredibly generous to us, and we want to reflect that generosity in every part of life. Whether through time, resources, service, or encouragement, we seek to live open-handedly for the good of others. Generosity helps our community flourish and extends Christ’s love beyond our walls.
Growth
Following Jesus is a lifelong journey of learning, changing, and becoming more like Him. We value growth that happens through Scripture, prayer, worship, and supportive relationships — growth that is both personal and communal. As God matures us, we seek to see ministry multiplied and our church grow in number and impact, extending Christ’s Kingdom in our community and beyond.
