“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD” – Psalm 150:6

At New Song Church, we believe that Beauty points us to the Beautiful One. So we endeavour to cultivate beauty, especially through visual arts and music.

New Song Church has two galleries: our Sanctuary Gallery features art reflecting on themes of the Christian faith, and our Lower Hall Gallery features artists in our neighbourhood. If you would like to explore our galleries, come by on a Sunday morning or email the office at admin@newsongportperry.ca to confirm a viewing time on a Tuesday or a Thursday between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm. Purchases can be made through the church office.

Sanctuary Gallery
Our current exhibit is “Pushing Paint” by Blaine Rancourt.

“Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honour me.” – Psalm 50:15

Once Upon a Time on a Hill

Blaine was born in North Bay, Ontario, growing up in Powassan and years later droping south to Mount Albert, Ontario in 2006.

Married with seven children between Blaine and Darlene, Blaine continues to create and compel those who follow his work and his heart. He has a unique visual style which calls upon evocative form and a metaphoric texture. His intuitive style reflects layers of meaning which compel the observer into thoughtful interaction and interpretation of his spiritual vision.

His prophetic use of symbol and colour captures the imagination and invites depth of revelation.

Lower Hall Gallery
We are proud to partner with the Port Perry Artists’ Association whose works beautify our Lower Hall. The display changes regularly, come by and see.

Chancel Choir
The seed kernel of New Song Chancel Choir was planted in late 2011 when 6 singers decided that a Lessons and Carols service that Christmas needed to include at least one choral piece.  The choir grew from that original seed and soon began a regular ministry, singing every 3 to 4 weeks during Sunday Services at New Song Anglican Church in Port Perry and much more frequently during the Advent, Christmas and Easter seasons.

An annual highlight is the Bach Cantata Sunday, in which a Bach Cantata is presented, with chamber orchestra, during a Sunday morning service – the purpose for which Bach originally intended his sacred cantatas.

New Song Chancel Choir regularly presents community outreach concerts to raise money for a charitable cause such as Operation Scugog and Oakridges Hospice.  The choir readily accepts a challenge and enjoys a broad variety of sacred repertoire ranging from medieval to contemporary.

Anyone interested in joining this welcoming group who thrives on singing sacred repertoire to the glory of God and each other’s company is encouraged to contact Jonathan Liebich, the choir’s director.

Sunday Morning Music
We’re a singing church – our name, after all, is New Song. Our music is a well-rounded variety of renewed traditional hymns and contemporary praise, led by a skillful band of New Song members.
