What does it mean to live a life of faith when you could just “help yourself”? In Genesis 14, Abram encounters God’s grace through his appointed Priest-King, Melchizedek. His response shows us that faith means receiving the blessing of the Priest-King, responding generously to the Priest-King, and refusing any rivals to the Priest-King.
