At New Song we believe that the Gospel isn’t good advice about what God expects from us; the Gospel is the Good News of what God has done for us in Jesus our Mediator, Advocate, Saviour and Friend. So every Sunday we proclaim the life-giving Word of Jesus through Scripture readings and through biblically-faithful, applicable preaching.

How do Christians relate themselves to the world we live in? Our calling isn’t easy: we are in the world, but not of the world, yet for the world. So how do we live in the tension? As the book of Jonah concludes, we find the prophet exceedingly angry with God. In fact, he’d rather die than accept the fact that God compassion toward sinners. Jonah is not the hero of this story. In fact, he’s a reluctant and rebellious prophet who begrudges God’s generousity.  When God calls, he runs. Do we do the same? How do we try to resist God? Why can’t we outrun him? And what’s the alternative to resisting and running? Thanks be to God: his … Read more January 18, 2026

Prepare “your minds for action,” writes the Apostle Peter; be “sober-minded”.
